KARISMA RECORDS TO RELEASE MAGIC PIE BACK CATALOGUE

Having released “King For A Day”, the fourth full-length album from MAGIC PIE, Karisma Records are now set to release the first three albums from the Norwegian Prog Rockers, who have become a household name amongst Prog fans worldwide with their blend of Classic Prog and 70’s Hard Rock. Fronted by guitar supremo Kim Stenberg, MAGIC PIE are known for their epic, high-octane melodic Prog Rock which includes touches of heaviness, superb vocal harmonies and the kind of terrific musicianship that sets them aside from the usual run of the mill bands.

The three albums, which have previously only been available as CDs, will be released in both Digital and Double Gatefold Vinyl formats on the 31st March. Details of the albums as follows:

“Motions of Desire”, MAGIC PIE’s first release, is now considered one of the classic debut albums, and has been hailed by some as one of the 25 best Prog albums of all time. It was Sea of Tranqulity’s album of the year in 2005.

PROG ROCKERS MAGIC PIE DEBUT NEW MUSIC VIDEO ON PROG MAGAZINE

With their fourth full-length album “King For A Day” set to be released on Karisma Records on the 25th May.

Norwegian Prog Rockers MAGIC PIE have debuted a music video for the opening track from the upcoming release on Prog Magazine – Team Rock. The video for “Trick Of The Trade” can be seen here.

Formed in Moss, Norway in 2001, MAGIC PIE have become a household name on the Prog Scene with their blend of Classic Prog and 70’s Hard Rock inspired by bands such as SPOCKS BEARD, DREAM THEATER, GENESIS, PINK FLOYD, THE FLOWER KINGS, TRANSATLANTIC, KANSAS, DEEP PURPLE, YES etc., and consequently “King For A Day” is an album that is very much anticipated by Prog fans.

KARISMA RECORDS is set to release the excellent new album from Norwegian prog rock band MAGIC PIE on May 25th 2015.

The album is titeled King For A Day.

MAGIC PIE’s previous three albums “Motions of Desire” (2005), “Circus Of Life” (2007) and “The Suffering” (2011) were all very well received by both press and fans. KARISMA RECORDS will re-release all three albums later this autumn on both cd and vinyl (for the first time).

PROG ROCKERS MAGIC PIE REVEALS DETAILS AND ARTWORK OF UPCOMING ALBUM

Fresh from inking a deal with Norwegian Prog Rockers MAGIC PIE, Karisma Records have today announced details of what will be the band’s fourth full length album, which is set for release on the 25th of May in CD and digital formats, and, at a later date, on vinyl. Titled “King For A Day”, the album was mixed and mastered by Rich Mouser (SPOCKS BEARD, TRANSATLANTIC, NEAL MORSE, DREAM THEATER etc.) at The Mouse House Studios in Los Angeles, and contains six tracks of melodic, epic, and, on occasion, heavy, Prog Rock, that showcases superb vocal harmonies and skilled musicianship .
